Scott Gillard

Scott Gillard is an expert in the use of litigation technology and is one of Australia’s most experienced Relativity & NUIX Discover experts. Scott leads complex electronic document review projects from design through to production. He specialises in electronic discovery and review management with a focus on technology-assisted review, Managed Services, complex construction project data collection and review, emerging technologies and innovation.

Scott has worked on some of the largest litigation projects in Australia including the first eDiscovery project in 2000 and was the pioneer in introducing Near Duplicate Detection technology to the Australian market in 2006. Based in Brisbane, Scott has been integral to developing FTI Consulting Australia’s market leading NUIX Discover and Relativity services.

With over 20+ years’ experience in technical consulting, systems design, development and implementation experience in eDiscovery, litigation support databases (including Relativity & NUIX Discover), data migration and manipulation and litigation workflow, Scott works with client teams to identify the best use of technology for their unique litigation, arbitration and investigative needs.

Scott's consulting projects include advising on several litigation areas including commercial, construction, pharmaceutical, real estate, Government investigations, class actions, product liability, intellectual property and Royal Commissions.

Scott has extensive international litigation consulting and project management experience with a number of Legal Top 100 firms in the UK and US and Legal Top 20 firms in Australia as well as experience in managing US, UK and Asia Pacific technical partnerships.

Scott's clients include several of Australia’s top law firms, corporations and Government agencies, where he has provided evidence and testimony for Supreme and Federal Courts in Australia.
