Scott Gillard is a Senior Director at FTI Consulting. He is a member of the Technology practice and is based in Brisbane, Australia. Scott leads complex electronic document review projects from design through production.

Scott has provided consulting services in several areas of litigation including commercial, construction, pharmaceutical, real estate, Government investigations, class actions, product liability, and intellectual property. His clients include several of Australia’s top law firms, corporates and Government agencies, providing evidence and testimony for Supreme and Federal Courts in Australia where required.

Scott is an expert in the use of litigation technology and is one of Australia’s most experienced Ringtail and Relativity experts. He specialises in electronic discovery and review management with a special focus on technology-assisted review, native file processing, document review technologies and Managed Services.

Scott has over 24 years’ experience in legal and technology markets, working with client teams to identify the best use of technology for their unique litigation, arbitration and investigative needs.

Scott has previously worked at two Australian top tier law firms and later as the Manager of eDiscovery and Data Centre services with a leading eDiscovery services company, where he managed complex and high-profile multi-party, multi-jurisdictional litigation proceedings, arbitrations and investigations. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Scott worked for a top tier international law firm where he led the development and implementation of a firm wide approach to electronic litigation.

Scott has worked on some of the largest litigation projects in Australia including the first ever eDiscovery project in December 2000 and was the pioneer in introducing Near Duplicate Detection technology to the Australian market.
